ReMission Foundation, with the support of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is pleased to support Michael J. Morris MD, Prostate Cancer Section Head of Genitourinary Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and his prostate cancer research.
Many people with high-risk prostate cancer who have surgery or radiation therapy will experience a recurrence of their disease. An intensive research effort is currently underway, led by Dr. Morris, to reduce the impact of aggressive disease, which is expected to cause more than 33,000 deaths this year.
Dr. Morris and his team are developing the next generation of drugs, exploring combination therapies, and investigating how these therapies behave depending on a person’s genetic profile. This research will allow for the adjustment of therapies to target a patient’s individual disease.
